West Ham United have made club history, but it is not a statistic that they will want to be reminded of following their heavy defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup.OptaJoeÂhas revealed that the East London outfit have suffered their heaviest ever loss in the domestic competition following Friday night’s 5-0 humiliation at the London Stadium.
It was a disappointing night for Slaven Bilic and his men, and it began in the 33rd minute when City were awarded a controversial penalty when Angelo Ogbonna clipped Pablo Zabaleta in the box.

After Yaya Toure converted from the spot, an own goal from Havard Nordtveit piled the misery on for the Hammers, and David Silva made it worse two minutes later by putting City 3-0 up before the half-time break.
The North-West outfit were not done, though, as Sergio Aguero added to the scoresheet, while John Stones nabbed his first ever goal for the club.
A few unwelcome statistics for the Hammers have emerged since their exit from the competition.
