Kounde has become a vital player for Hansi Flick's Barcelona this season, impressing with his performances at right-back. However, he has been punished on numerous occasions for his poor time-keeping, resulting in being benched for matches against Alaves, Espanyol and Rayo Vallecano.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Kounde has been working on his punctuality but has recently devised a new method to avoid running late for team meetings. He has reportedly told some of the team's security staff to give him 15-minute warnings before Flick is due to gather with his squad.
