West Brom have quite a few talented youngsters on their books at the moment.
Although he isn’t the most popular man at The Hawthorns, Nathan Ferguson could go on to be an impressive player after garnering interest from both Juventus and Atletico Madrid, and there is also plenty of excitement around Rayhaan Tulloch.
However, one man that may be slipping under the radar is Callum Morton.
The 20-year-old hasn’t made the waves that Tulloch or Ferguson have quite yet, failing to make his first-team debut for the Baggies. However, he has got his first taste of senior action this season out on loan at Northampton, and it’s fair to say that he’s done quite well since making the step up.

Actually, saying that he’s done quite well is selling him short a little bit.
Five goals in nine games since joining the Cobblers in January is quite simply a brilliant return, and if the 20-year-old can carry those scoring exploits over to the higher leagues when he returns to West Brom he could soon be a key player for the Baggies.
Ok, it’s only League Two, but we’ve seen time and time again that players can be real commodities at a decent level despite humble beginnings.
Just look at the Championship top scorer list this season.
Ollie Watkins was playing for Exeter in that division just three years ago, Lewis Grabban is a former League Two Golden Boot winner, Nahki Wells made a name for himself in the fourth tier with Bradford City and Karlan Grant only got his big break after netting nine in 15 during a loan spell with Coventry.
The fact that Morton is ripping up the fourth tier at the age of 20 is an incredibly good sign, and if the Baggies can continue to help his development there’s no reason he can’t be a future star for the Midlands club.
In other news, West Brom are looking in the wrong place with this midfielder.
