Mbappe has been compared with Henry during his career due to his finishing ability and searing pace. The forward is just three goals behind Henry in the list of France's all-time top scorers and has already been told by the great man himself that he has surpassed his career, despite the fact that Mbappe is still only 26.

Henry has leapt to Mbappe's defence this week amid criticism of the France star since his move to Real Madrid. Yet Evra has seemingly added to Mbappe's list of detractors by claiming the Real Madrid attacker should not be compared with Henry and has been overhyped during his career so far.
WHAT EVRA SAID
The former France and Manchester United defender said on show : "When you start saying that [Mbappé] is the best player or one of the best, I’m thinking, he doesn’t even come close to Jean-Pierre Papin. Let’s never compare Mbappe to Thierry Henry. Let’s never compare him. You’ve created this product. For me, [Mbappe] takes too much heat, but when you talk about the best players in the world… Guys, did you see Henry’s performances? You’re putting people on a pedestal who aren’t on a pedestal.”

Mbappe has already won the World Cup and the Nations League with France as well as Ligue 1 titles with Monaco and PSG. He will obviously be hoping to add more trophies to his collection at Real Madrid, including the Champions League and the Ballon d'Or, both of which eluded him in France.
