As the national team’s captain and talisman it is highly like that Harry Kane will be selected by Gareth Southgate to lead the line for England when the Three Lions’ Nations League campaign gets underway against Spain on Saturday.
The World Cup golden boot winner is a very important player for his country and by far the best striker England currently have at their disposal. However, Kane currently looks at risk of burning out.
By the time England’s World Cup journey came to an end, the No. 9 looked utterly exhausted. Despite having already notched two goals in this new Premier League season, Kane still doesn’t look fully back up to speed. Some time out of the firing line would be the best thing for the 25-year-old at this stage.

England have Danny Welbeck and Marcus Rashford available to take Kane’s place in the starting XI for the next couple of fixtures should Southgate opt to rest his first choice striker. Plenty of Tottenham fans would likely be glad to see their main man benched for this international encounter with Spain.
What do you think, Spurs fans? Are you desperate to see Kane get a rest or is it more important for him to do his job for his country?
