Nottingham Forest recently signed former West Brom defensive midfielder Claudio Yacob on a free transfer after he left the Baggies during the summer, but here at Football FanCast we want to know whether you think he should be thrown straight into the starting line up for Saturday’s tie with Swansea.
Forest and Aitor Karanka made a huge 17 signings this summer, taking a stockpiling approach to secure the players they believed were needed for a promotion push from the Championship, but things have not gone all their way so far.
The Reds currently sit in 14th place in the second tier of English football having won just one game, drawn four and lost one. Karanka has seemed to favour Jack Colback and Ben Watson in the defensive midfield roles so far but the 5ft 11in tall Yacob, who has two caps for his national side Argentina, may be a more solid option and would allow the more attacking players such as Joao Carvalho and Gil Dias to be more creative with less defensive responsibility.
So, Forest fans, would you start Yacob on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium? Have your say by voting in our poll below.
