Ten Hag backs Rashford to find formStruggled through the 2023/24 seasonMight miss start of the season through injuryWHAT HAPPENED?
Rashford struggled through the entire 2023/24 season for Manchester United as Ten Hag's men faltered in the Premier League to finish in their worst-ever standing as they finished eighth. The Red Devils also suffered in the Champions League group stages as they finished last in a group with Bayern Munich, Galatasaray and Copenhagen.

Rashford was the biggest disappointment in Manchester United's faltering attack last season as the England international finished the season with just 13 goal contributions in 43 appearances in all competitions. However, Ten Hag has not given up on the 26-year-old as he expects the forward to bounce back.

In an interview with The Guardian, Ten Hag was asked if Rashford could make a comeback, and he responded: "Of course, but he has to prove his point. We will set the conditions [give him all support] and [then] he is very capable of doing this. The season before he scored 30 goals, so when he is in the right vibe, then he has such a high potential. And when he is really in that mood, he [can] again score 30 or even more goals. He should fight to be, but we are not robots. We are dealing with human beings. And everyone – you [for example] are not always at your best."
WHAT NEXT FOR RASHFORD?
The 26-year-old was expected to begin the Premier League season as a starter for Ten Hag, however, during a preseason friendly against Real Betis, Rashford picked up an injury and may be a doubt for their Community Shield final against Manchester City.
